Explainatory - You'll always hurt the ones you love (YAHTOYL)

Here is the explaintory for this week about... You'll always hurt the ones you love. Dramatic song title, but what the song is about is even more dramatic:

With every look in your eyes,
I feel I made the right choice.
Every time I think of you,
I stand by my decision...

I know that I've hurt some people,
With the choice that I've made.
Sometimes you gotta push,
Some old ladies down the stairs..

Leave, it's over, it's been.
The things I left behind for you.
I gave my teen years all I got was tears,
Better believe it's true.

Stepping on me in front of,
Family and friends I care about.
Did you even bother to think
What you behaviour was doing to me?

Did you even care, you said you did.
With all your acts, you didn't care shit.
Humiliation, part of a daily routine.
Go, just leave, never to be seen.

Leave, it's over, it's been.
The things I left behind for you.
I gave my teen years all I got was tears,
Better believe it's true.
Leave, it's over, it's been.
The things I left behind for you.
I gave my teen years all I got was tears,
Better believe it's true.

As you can read it's about breaking up. The hurting hasn't been done by the person singing the song. It's done by the other one. To be quite honest, it's about how I looked back on my ex-girlfriend.
The first verse seems really romantic and is just how I figured it must've looked to other persons, including me. In the second verse I'm talking about the fact that sometimes you must make a decision and you can't be happy about it. It hurts, but it's for the best. The line "sometimes [...] stairs." comes from a computer game Day of the Tentacle and I figured it was a very funny line and yet so true.

The chorus states that we've broken up. So it's over. Looking back on it all, I gave up a lot and I got very little in return. It's hard to face that truth, but I have to.

The third and fourth verse go about how I feel that I was humiliated in some sort. But sometimes love can do very strange things to you and make you stand up for that person. I sure as hell know how loverboys work now. Finally I've made up my mind thought we should go apart. And we did.
To my ex-girlfriend (she may read this after all), this is truly how I feel and I regret it. I know it never was on purpose, but a feeling can't be changed on command. Looking back and seeing myself then and now, it's like I'm a completely other person now. So, I sincerly hope you are well and wish you the best of luck and happiness. I sure found it both.

Explainatory - Deposit

Late night at home, watching TV.
This ain't nothing, nothing for me.
I want to go, out and meet.
Friends, family, and maybe a treat.

Booze, booze, condoms all around.
Ethics are nowhere to be found.
Fuck it, we don't need 'em.
As long as I can deposit my seamen.

Down in the pub, keep 'em coming.
Let the guitar geeks, keep on strumming.
I want the girls, and the attention too.
My memory, is pretty short term..

Booze, booze, condoms all around.
Ethics are nowhere to be
found.
Fuck it, we don't need 'em.
As long as I can deposit my seamen.

As long as I can deposit my seamen.
As long as I can deposit my seamen.
As long as I can deposit my seamen.
As long as I can hear chicks screaming!

The lyrics to our song Deposit. I'll try to explain what I meant when I wrote this song, because a lot of people think it's about my love for sex. Well, that's partly true, but not the whole story.
In the first verse, I talk about the fact that sitting at home and doing whatever the fuck it is you do at night is nothing for me. That has nothing to do with me as a person, but my view on a lot of young people nowadays. Teens thinks about one thing only and that's PARTY with BITCHES!! There is lot's more than that alone, people! Therefor the entire first verse is sarcastic.

In the chorus I try to make obvious that nowadays everybody drinks and fucks like there's no tomorrow. No one cares about the things these "hobbies" do to people. Booze makes people alcoholic and does terrible things with them. Liver failure, depression, unemployment, divorces, you name it.
Sex is fun, but just fucking the hell out of everything isn't exactly the point. It's meant to be special between two people who share a bond. I'm not saying you should wait till you're married, but come on. Every day another broad in bed? I think you'll lose the true understanding of intercourse and will never enjoy it as much as other people who are doing it because they love eachother and know eachother.
Ethics are at the base of this ofcourse and nobody seems to think about them while doing this. So that's why I've stated "Fuck it, we don't need 'em". If people think this lightly about such heavy subjects, will people think at all about the lighter ones?

Second verse isn't much different from the first and the chorus. All the person cares about is drinking and fucking and fails to see the other pretty and good things in life.
Booze kills braincells as well and therefor short term memory loss in pretty common with alcohol abusers. Serves 'em right (btw this doesn't go for people who have problems and therefor start drinking, this is only stated for persons that do it on their own free will!)

This person doesn't care about anything else except drinking and fucking, therefor he states at the end "as long as I can hear chicks screaming". That's his "reason" to live.

So to summarize it, it's one big sarcastic view on the youth nowadays. Was it always like this? I don't know, but what I do know, is that I wasn't such a guy and enjoyed the good things in life. This is my complaint to society. Sorry.

The question is, do you wanna know?

Hi y'all. Yeah, it's been pretty quiet around here. Well we're still working on new songs and mixing our songs for the album. We've recorded a song for our friends from HardgewordenZacht and that's about it.

I've got a question. I've got the idea to explain our lyrics to you in a column or post or whatever. About our intentions with that song and why we used the lyrics we used. The question is, do you wanna know? Well, do ya? I'd like to know, so I can start doing it next week. If so, could you say which song you would like to be explored first? Any song, except For a Spin. I didn't write so, I couldn't tell you. Thank you and goodbye!
